Developing a Chinese elm Bonsai

Developing a Chinese elm Bonsai Developing a Chinese elm Bonsai
In this 2-year progression, we style a nursery stock Ulmus parvifolia that was grown as a cutting for 5 years. We pruned and wired the tree, then repotted six months later, and continued developing the tree for another full year. With these long format videos, we hope to show you how to develop a tree over time - and what the impact of applying Bonsai techniques is 6-12 months later. For more info about this tree species as a Bonsai, check out: https://www.bonsaiempire.com/tree-species/chinese-elm Chapters 0:00 - Introduction 0:39 - Initial styling (pruning and wiring) 4:48 - Repotting 8:46 - Second styling 12:32 - Third styling We thank the Japanese garden Clingendael, and Bob Ruitenbeek (technical supervision).
