Pomegranate is a Mediterranean species of tree with limitless ornamental value. Their bare winter silhouette and twisted trunks generate incredible interest in their leafless state. In the spring, tiny red buds emerge from a seemingly lifeless carcass, breathing brilliant color into the rugged structure and calling forth bright orange flowers that hint at the eventual fruit to come.
