New exhibit starting March 10: "Sakura Orihon: Diary of a Cherry Blossom Journey" Find a new appreciation for the Japanese cherry tree tradition through the eyes of landscape architect Ron Henderson. While following the blossoming trees through Japan, Henderson recorded his experiences in folding sketchbooks called orihon. This unique exhibition of Henderson's diaries highlights his pilgrimages to famous trees and the horticultural techniques used to preserve the trees in Japan. The books provide an awe-inspiring, artistic documentation of one man's journey through history and nature.
