JUST A REMINDER Friday October 5 is set up for the annual Club Show. It will be held in the new Covenant Learning Center at Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. WE NEED HELP. At 1 pm we start set up. We as a Club are responsible for placing tables, backing screens table drapes, risers, and table top material. Beginning at 3 pm we will help vendors unload their vehicles and accept trees for display. Saturday morning from 8 till 10 we accept trees for display, and at 10 the show opens to the public. During the show we hope to have continuous demonstrations of any bonsai related tasks (re-potting, trimming, wiring, etc.) These will be informal demos at a working table in the middle of the show. You can help here, too. On Sunday the show opens at 11:00 am and closes at 5 pm. Then we need to reverse ourselves and take everything down. With a group effort we can be done in an hour. Please volunteer to help! The entrance to the Gardens is not in the same place this year as last, the parking lots are under construction and it will tale a little longer to get in. If you have large or multiple trees to enter you may use the freight doc entrance. THE ENTRANCE TO THE DOCKS HAS MOVED. the entrance is off Bradford St past the old Bradford entrance which is now closed. The doors should be unlocked but if not use the outside phone to call security and ask to be let in. We hope to have someone available there to help you find the show space. It is in the lower level and you must use the freight elevator. I hope you are all planning to enter at least one tree. Should be an exciting bonsai weekend Come share in it.
