Only two weeks till our Holiday Celebration Meeting at Meijer Gardens (Tuesday December 19, 2017 at 7:00 pm) This will be the last meeting at Meijer Gardens so they can remodel and add on to the classrooms. We will return there late in 2018 when that construction is complete. We will not meet in January or February but will return to monthly meetings at Kent Career Tech Center in March. This will be a great move for us. More about that later. At the Holiday meeting everyone should bring a snack or desert to exchange. The Club will provide plates, utensils and water. There will be numerous giveaways, silent auctions, door prizes, and raffles. We have several bonsai tools, books, a bonsai calendar, soil, nutrients, and maybe a pot or two. Tim Priest has donated a gift certificate for a photo session for one of your bonsai trees (Tim's bonsai photographs are award winning and awesome). We will conduct a silent auction for that certificate. Everyone will get some raffle tickets when they enter the party and an extra ticket for the door prize. If you renew your membership at the meeting you will receive additional tickets. If you bring 4 items of food for our food drive (all food items will be for donation to the East Congregational Church Food Pantry) you will receive additional tickets*. You may also purchase tickets. The night is for sharing some food, fellowship with your bonsai friends, and prizes!
