Hello A little belated but here is the latest from the Bonsai Club. The tour of bonsai gardens in October was a great success. We had about 20 people tour and the response was just fabulous. The weather cooperated as well. Thanks to our hosts Scott Zomerlei, Tim Priest, and Steve Jetzer (and yours truly) for generously opening their gardens for all to enjoy. Cool day. In just two weeks we will have a ficus workshop as part of our regular November meeting on Saturday the 18th of November starting at 9am at Meijer Gardens. Workshop will be conducted by Scott Zomerlei of Growco. We will be working on Ficus "Wiandi" The fee will be $15 and will include tree, wire, pot and soil. There are only 12 spaces available so you must preregister and pay to hold a space. The first 12 get the spots. Call me at 616-240-4440. We will figure out how to pay when you call. There will be a brief meeting preceeding the workshop but the morning will be filled with hands on fun. If you do not participate you may come and observe and help out. If you participate we would appreciate it if you bring your tools, everything else provided. The last meeting of the year is Tuesday evening December the 12 at Meijer Gardens. This is the last time we can meet at Meijer Gardens (due to the construction) till late fall 2018 but we will keep you posted on our planned meeting place for next year. We are cooking up something fun for December. More later on this facebook site. 2018 membership dues are due and payable now. In order to contunue presenting great programs, workshops and bonsai masters to our club it costs money. Time of get current.
